As we all know , google when made their last favicon change back in june 2008, asked for users feedback and ideas on its favicon change. Google was much impressed by the volume of feedback and suggestion they received over the past 6 months and introduced the new favicon inspired by those submissions by their users.
Finally , André Resende, a computer science undergraduate student at the University of Campinas in Brazil’s design is accepted with minor changes.His placement of a white ‘g’ on a color-blocked background was highly recognizable and attractive, while seeming to capture the essence of Google.

But as a day to day user , i am not much pleased with their new favicon which looks more flashy and colorful. while google also made a statement in their blog saying “I’m sure we will update it again”.
